For most people, a visit to Court is an intimidating experience. The purpose of this web page is to explain the function of the Court and what to expect if you need to make a personal appearance before the Judge.

Our Municipal Court processes complaints filed against individuals who have been charged with traffic, local ordinance or disorderly persons violations. Charges of a more serious nature, i.e., indictable charges are initially filed with the Municipal Court and are then forwarded  to the Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor. There it is determined whether the case will be disposed of at the County level, or if it will be downgraded and returned to the Municipal Court for disposition.

For information on specific topics, please call the Court office at 732-264-9098 and the Court staff will be happy to be of assistance.

Fines may be paid by cash, money order, or personal check made payable to Union Beach Municipal Court. On certain traffic summons or traffic time payments, you may visit the website www.njmcdirect.com  and pay on-line with a debit or credit card. Parking Meter summons are payable at that site at a cost of $54.00.

Due to the increasing concerns of COVID-19 exposure any person that has a matter within the Union Beach Municipal Court  may complete the plea by mail form (attached below) and mail the completed form to:
