NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Union Beach, Monmouth County, New Jersey for the 2015 Road Improvement Program and opened and read in public at the Union Beach Borough Hall, 650 Poole Avenue, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735 on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM prevailing time.

Contract Documents and Plans for the proposed work, prepared by Edward G. Broberg, P.E., Union Beach Borough Engineer of the firm of T&M Associates, Consulting and Municipal Engineers, Eleven Tindall Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07748, are on file in the office of the Engineer and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours.

Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the contract documents and plans by the Engineer upon proper notice and payment of a non-refundable charge of Eighty Five Dollars ($85.00) to defray the cost thereof.

Proposals must be made on the Standard Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to the Borough of Union Beach and must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.

Bidders are also required to comply with other provisions of Law including, but not limited to, the requirements of:

• N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (P.L. 1977, c.33, Disclosure of Ownership) • N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (P.L. 2004, c. 57, Business Registration) • N.J.S.A. 34.11-56.25, et seq. (P.L. 1963, c. 150, Prevailing Wages) • N.J.S.A. 34.11-56.48 (Public Works Contractor Registration)
